Zcaine

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Zcaine FDA approved?

Yes. Zcaine, Fast Acting Anesthetic Gel is the newest concept in topical anesthetics and contains the highest concentration of Lidocaine (4%) allowed by the FDA for over the counter distribution. Zcaine is safe and effective for the temporary relief of discomfort and pain associated with minor skin irritations, minor cuts, minor scrapes and minor itching. Zcaine was developed under FDA Guidelines, and is manufactured in compliance with the FDA’s Current Good Manufacturing Practices.

Does Zcaine™ require a prescription?

No prescription is required to order or use Zcaine. It is an over-the-counter (OTC) product.

Why is Zcaine the most cost effective anesthetic compared to other Lidocaine products?

It is Creative Technologies’ goal to provide superior products at prices that are affordable and profitable for the physicians. Because Creative Technologies distributes and sells their products directly, this eliminates the need for the “middle-man,” and therefore we are able to keep prices lower than competitive products.  Zcaine is a powerful, pharmaceutical-grade product at non-pharmaceutical prices.

What are the benefits of the botanicals in Zcaine?

Botanical extracts have long been used for their calming and anti-inflammatory properties. Ingredients such as Calendula, Chamomile and Aloe are especially well known for their soothing properties and are not considered to be a pharmaceutically active OTC drug.

How is Zcaine packaged?

Zcaine is available in a 2 oz (60 gram) child resistant tube which is one of the largest and most cost effective sizes on the market.

How should Zcaine be stored?

Zcaine should be stored at room temperature (59-86° F). Keep container tightly closed and out of reach of children. Remaining product should be discarded after the expiration date.

How often can Zcaine be used?

Zcaine should not be used more than 3-4 times per 24 hour period.

Can Zcaine be used on children?

While Zcaine is considered safe to use on children two years and older, we do not recommend using on children under the age of 12 without first consulting a physician.

How long will Zcaine’s numbing sensation last?

Zcaine’s effects will be different for everyone. One person may only experience pain relief for an hour or so, while another may experience relief for up to 4 hours.
